OLUX-E™ is a unique formulation of the super-potent topical corticosteroid clobetasol propionate delivered in the VERSAFOAM-EF™ vehicle.
OLUX-E is a safe and effective prescription treatment for dermatoses specially formulated for use on the body. OLUX-E goes on silky smooth, is easy to use, contains moisturizing ingredients and has no ethanol.
OLUX-E Foam is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses, which include eczema and psoriasis, in patients 12 years of age or older. In clinical studies of patients with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (eczema) and mild to moderate plaque psoriasis, OLUX-E Foam significantly reduced itching and inflammatory symptoms in 2 weeks.
Treatment should be limited to 2 consecutive weeks and patients should not use greater than 50 grams per week. OLUX-E has been shown to suppress the HPA-access.
In clinical trials, the most common adverse events associated with the use of OLUX-E Foam were application site atrophy and other reactions at the application site.
